About Melissa

Melissa Soong is a Science of Self Yoga teacher and trainer from New York City. In addition to yoga (500 hours), she is certified in Meridian Yoga Technique which combines the knowledge of the Traditional Chinese Medicine body map and the yoga system to address stress patterns through asana, acupressure, concentration and meditation techniques, cupping, and more. She also has a masters degree in social work (LMSW) and worked in a NYC supportive housing program for a decade. She continues community work by providing holistic services in collaboration with harm reduction programs in NYC to those who may not have access to such services.
